Running behind blogger silence

I have been on absolute silence from the blogger sphere for over a month! eeeeeeeek!!! For the small handful of you that actually read this, I apologize!

So much to touch on! My last post, I was tired. Those close to me (cough, cough) would probably say I was moody too.  I needed a VACATION. BAD. soooooo....BOOM! I got one!!! **see picture proof below**

Five beautiful days in paradise on the US Virgin Island of St. John (picture taken above world famous Trunk Bay). Pure relaxation, adventure and a reset that I desperately needed. We all get so caught up in the everyday rat race: work, workout, family, friends, kids....blah blah blaaaaaaaaaaaaah. We run ourselves down so much, it's VERY IMPORTANT to recharge. Physically, I've been taking care of my body, but this vacation was as much for my mental health as it was spiritual.

Enough blabber about my vacation. You would be proud to know that I still have been running! Although, I do have my moments were it seems as if my love affair with running is sizzling out, it comes back, roaring and burning in my soul. Since my last post, I did complete ALL the runs that I mentioned and I had a blast! 2 out of 3 of the runs were mostly for fun than for competition and it brought more joy back to me. The pressure that I was always putting on myself to PR on every new race, to run a faster mile, GAAAAH...why do I do that to myself??? Running for fun again was a great feeling! I am now eyeing a local half marathon in the fall. I just don't look forward to training runs in the late Texas summer heat.

I won't make this blog long. It's basically to let ya'll know I'm still alive! haha! Below are a few pics from the races I've run since my last blog (Susan G Komen, Wounded Warrior, Color Up Run). Keep those legs moving everybody. Happy Running!
